Through discussions and assignments, we explored the connections between leadership, activism, and social justice.
For my final project, I was tasked with creating an outline and essay that advocated for an issue within my major. I chose to focus on contraceptive access, a topic I’m passionate about. In my essay, I outlined the importance of increasing access to contraceptives, discussed the barriers that individuals face in accessing them, and proposed solutions to improve availability and education. This project not only deepened my understanding of a critical healthcare issue but also allowed me to apply the leadership and advocacy skills I developed throughout the course.
